Well, I know she did the Broadway engagement, and I know that the TLC gig is over (much to my chagrin)...
They were running a scroll at the bottom of the TV ads here in Rochester, NY saying "Now starring Paige Davis of TLC's 'Trading Spaces' ". I guess that's confirmation enough...
But I can't find confirmation on the 'net, even on the official website. I wonder if someone in ROC jumped the gun.
That'd be awesome if Paige Davis went on tour. I know I'd certanitly buy a ticket.
"Chicago is it's own incredible theater town right there smack down in the middle of the heartland. What a great city! I can see why Oprah likes to live there!" - Dee Hoty :-D
ckeaton- what do you mean the TLC gig is over?? Is trading spaces done?? It's one of my favorite shows but I haven't gotten to follow it very much lately because I have been out of town. That would make me absotively depressed! I love Paige Davis. I was lucky enough to see her when she did Chicago over the summer (yay! only reason I saw Chicago). But if she's going on tour that's way cool.
"This table, he is over one hundred years old. If I could, I would take an old gramophone needle and run it along the surface of the wood. To hear the music of the voices. All that was said." - Doug Wright, I Am My Own Wife
Paige was worse than Melanie? I have never heard anyone state a similar opinion like that. Most people loved Paige, and thought she was a joy on the stage. She had it all, she was sexy, funny, emotional, everything. One minute she had the audiences cracking up, the next she had them effected by her emotional "Nowadays."
Paige was eveverything but a BAD Roxie. She was fantastic. Oh and boy could that girl dance!
ashley0139: the last I heard on this TS was looking into doing a no-host format. I don't think the show itself is over, but rather Paige needs a new job! (probably Joe too, I am guessing?) I would be sad to see it go too. I kinda dig Barry Wood.
I would def check out Paige on tour if it came near me. She sure does, er did, dance a lot on Trading Spaces.
Alright, here's my opinion. First, you have to understand how much I am an avid Paige Davis fan. I absolutely love her. Think she is amazing! But, as much as it pains me to say this, I am going to have to lean more with melissa errico fan on this one. While I personally didn't think she was as horrible as MEF did, I was not as impressed as I would have liked to have been. Her singing was so-so and her acting was good, if a little forced. Her dancing was phenomenal though. Overall, I just didn't think she stood out on stage (you know what I mean). But at the stage door she was the sweetest person ever, and made sure everyone had an autograph and stuff. I just SO wish she had been a better performer.

I'm glad you liked her, mallardo. I was just so excited to see her live onstage!
