Paul Wontorek at Broadway.com says that Sutton might star in "Little Women." Excuse my ignorance, but I don't know anything about this book or any of the movie versions. What kind of role is Jo? Is it a good part for her?

Jo March: an aspiring writer, spunky, fiery, a bit of a tomboy...

Sutton would make a fine Jo and I could see her in the role, but I personally am rooting for Kerry O'Malley. I dunno, she's just been involved with it for so long. And I'd love to see her back on Broadway again.

Sutton is approximately 120 years too old to be in that show.

But Gavin would be perfect for Beth, the sensitive one.

Hmm, you're right, Namo. I can see Gavin as Beth. But Megan McGinnis sounds good, too. How is her Belle?

Why isn't Joe Machota Laurie? *pouts*

Joe machota is not Laurie because it involves too much clothing and those of us with eyes would be upset that he was so covered

Gavin isn't butch enough

and a poster at Sutton's website has already accept that article as the gosepl and has ticketmater on speed dial for tickets.

Sutton doesn't look any older than Winona Ryder, does she? And that was on film. At least the audience would be watching her from a distance a bit!

It was ten years ago that Winona shot that movie!

Kerry O'Malley as Jo March. If this does not happen, I will protest. Yes, I will protest. Picket signs. Ralleys. Mobs.

i think Gavin would make a good Amy March... or wait... Alice or no! Sherie... or amy... damn it's just so hard to cast these days being that there are only 3 performers

Sutton looks a lot younger without the Millie Wig on and I think she would be good for that role. Come on now Broadway doesn't exactly stick to the exact age to play characters Look at Hairspray not one of the 16 year olds are under 20 a few are or where closer to 30. I think Sutton could definitely play the role and play it well.

If I remember the newest movie correctly Sutton looks a lot like the sister that gets sick but that has nothing to do with her ability to play Jo just a side note.

I think Sutton would make an amazing Jo! Sutton looks about 18 without her Millie costume on, she would be great!

Frankly, I don't give a crap who plays Jo, I wanna know who's gonna play Aunt March.

Since the two leading candidates, Mary Wickes and Dorothy Loudon, have passed on, I'm thinking Liliane Montevecchi.

Wouldn't it be a hoot if Sutton got replaced by Erin Dilley?

Although i love Sutton i think she's a bit too tall and lanky to play tom-boyish, dream aspiring Jo...hmm, but JMO.

Playbill.com is saying that Maureen McGovern will be playing Marmee. Interesting choice. The other names involved are: Janet Carroll as Aunt March, John Hickok (Aida) as Professor Bhaer, Danny Gurwin (The Thing About Men) as Laurie, Jim Weitzer as John Brooke, Robert Stattel as Mr. Laurence, Amy Ruthberg as Meg, Megan McGinnis (Belle in Beauty and the Beast) as Beth, Amy McAlexander as Amy, with Christopher Gunn, Larisa Shukiss, Julie Foldesi, Andrew Varela and Anne Kanengeiser.
