Hey everyone-

I was wondering if anyone has heard of the beginnings workshop? It's basically a theater workshop in NY for 9 days. Sutton Foster even taught classes there! I'm going this summer and I was wondering if anyone has gone or is going this upcoming summer. Sounds like a great workshop and I've seen that some of today's B-way stars went there. So you can IM if you've been there or are going there this summer. My SN is FLRags84isOBN.
Bye!

~Rebecca~

omg! I am sooo excited.I just got a letter from Beginnings to start welcoming us. Peter is sooo funny. holliz at those kids who I shove broccoli down thee throats! haha. Sorry- that was just a bit of unessary commentary.

Anyway- He is starting to get people to come to work there or give talks there. I am soo happy. He said he was looking at some people from Lion King, 42nd street, and other B-way shows. He already has one definitley planned. His name is Ben Cameron (ensemble of Wicked.) He says he is in the process of getting another very famous person to come but he wrote "Shhh, it's a secret" and we will have to wait for the BIG surpise! John Tartaglia maybe? haha- j/k although I'd be on cloud 9. I think it was last year he had Sutton Foster and previous years he's had other very famous people! OMG! I am soo frekin excited! 9 days of hard work, with your own special agent and guest stars!! I know it's gonna be like bootcamp but I'm ready. Let the light shine baby with Tofu in hand!

I AM JUST AS EXCITED! I went to the Beginnings work shop about 5 years ago when I was 15, as a student, and this coming June will be my second year as a chaperone! I have learned so much about my self and my career through this program (Thanks to Peter Sklar). Last year Peter had Lawerence Street from Broadway's Urinetown, (the best voice on Broadway!!!) come up for a day and teach voice and from that i have had the pleasure of working with him on several occasions. All though there is a lot of fun to be had as a chaperone there are alot of rules, its very organized and there are a lot of benefits from going. I would recommend this to any one who asks!
