Rumor mill going around. Whoopi did say on The View last week that the script was almost done. Midler doing it is questionable as well as Maggie Smith returning due to her health.
The Sequel we've long been waiting for, Sister Act 3 is finally coming to disney+
Sister Act 3 Kicking the Habit will star Whoopi Goldberg, Bette freaking Midler and the incredible Keke Palmer
Kathy Najimy, Wendy McKenna and Maggie Smith will all return
The script is produced by Tyler Perry and will see Keke Palmers play the famous niece of Whoopi Goldberg's 'Deloris Van Cartier' who comes to her aunt for help when she gets involved with some very dangerous people.
Deloris once again calls on her friends to help hide her highly conspicuous niece. But with the press and gangsters on her tail, how long can she keep a low profile, especially in the age of social media

Wonder if Kathy Najimy will be part of this ? Yesterday on 'The View' she said she'd love to be part of this, but didn't know anything about it. She asked Whoopi what the status was and if it was happening.
Goldberg just nodded her head saying 'It's happening' and they've been writing a script. If she were to be part of it, I would assume they would've offered her a part and be writing dialogue for her character in the script.

It doesn't seem like anyone is confirmed and that poster isn't legit. My guess is Kathy and Wendy will get calls once the script is done. If both aren't in this, Whoopi and Perry will get tremendous backlash if they're both not included. There's been too much gossip with who's doing it. Midler hasn't said anything, neither has Keke Palmer and Jennifer Lewis is hoping to do it. I'd say casting gets confirmed just before they start filming (whenever that is).

This was first announced 2 years ago as something that was being developed, and they are just now saying they are close to finishing the script. I wouldn't hold my breath for this.

Nothing has ever been confirmed by Disney. Whoopi has been talking about it for years and, until 2019, Tyler Perry finally got tagged to this as producer and director. Then COVID delayed it. Whoopi talked about it on Watch What Happens in 2021 and she still had very few details. Don't think anything really got moving on this until this year.
