The "R" rated version of Kingpin is off-the-wall funny!

Yesterday we were watching the movie comedy Kingpin and seeing hilarious scenes we never saw before.  Then it occurred to us that we were viewing the "R" rated version of the film.  This edition of the movie is knockout, knee-slapping funny.  I don't know if they ever released this version in theatres; but they should consider it.  I rate the movie up there with comedy greats like "The Big Lebowski."  I consider it a must see for comedy fans. Even though a few jokes did not work, I credit the writers and directors for taking huge chances and producing a brilliant, imaginative, funny comedy.  Films like this do not come along often.

From wiki: " When released on DVD, Kingpin came in its original PG-13 theatrical version (113 minutes) and an extended, R-rated version (117 minutes). Both versions are available on the Blu-Ray disc issued by Paramount Pictures on October 14, 2014."

It's an underrated gem. Truly bizarre and hysterical. I caught the R rated version and I enjoyed it immensely. It's a hoot and I agree with you.
