Elevated Seating Puts Eagle On Top
Catch Me If You Can & New Works Development Series

HAMMONTON, N.J. – The Eagle Theatre has officially installed elevated riser seating to provide prime viewing and a greater theatrical experience. The unveiling of this addition will take place throughout the run of the upcoming Professional Regional Area Premiere, Catch Me If You Can, starring Barrymore Award Winner Jeff Coon.

Based on the hit DreamWorks film, Catch Me If You Can is a vibrant, multimedia adventure that follows a cunning runaway living the high life, evading the FBI, and traveling the world in search of what he left behind. The Eagle’s production takes a provocative twist as it is presented as a televised variety hour, incorporating a live multi-camera shoot that will be displayed on televisions interspersed throughout the set. On-Air and Applause signs adorn the house, inviting the audience to play the role of the "live studio audience”. Co-Artistic Director Ted Wioncek III describes the production as “The perfect marriage between the book, movie, musical, and our own original, interactive conceptual design. You are simultaneously afforded a live theatrical production and a cinematic journey.”

The Eagle will also premiere their New Works Development Series on Monday, February 9th @ 8PM, featuring a new play, The King of East Jabip, written by Sea Isle City's Kelly McCarthy. The reading will star Ms. McCarthy’s Father, Barrymore Award Winner, Lifetime Achievement Award Winner and former President of the local chapter of The Screen Actors Guild, Tom McCarthy. Mr. McCarthy will be accompanied onstage by 5 time Barrymore Award Winner Mary Martello and 4 time Barrymore Award Nominee Megan Bellwoar. The King of East Jabip will be directed by Eagle Theatre Co-Artistic Director Ed Corsi.

The New Works Development Series nurtures local professional playwrights, while offering patrons an intimate experience with original work in its infancy. Each play features post-performance Talk Back Sessions with the Cast, Director and Playwright.

Eagle Theatre boasts a free double parking lot, an on-site Wine Lounge and is located within walking distance of several award-winning boutiques and acclaimed dining destinations.
