So can someone explain i was doing some net research and discovered phillip scofield, paul nicholas and russ abbott were all playing dr d on the 2. Why? paul was only doing saturdays
did it deffo come to southampton because on their website of past shows there is no recolection of it coming to the mayflower and on a website i saw it said cancelled. how bizzare
When I saw it in Southampton, I saw Phillip Scofield do it, but I think I may have fallen asleep....I was five, and I sat on a carseat to see over the person in front of me :)
Yes it did because I sat through it, never again! And I still have the programme. That was the initial tour of the London show, there have been subsequent scaled down tours, and the last tour was cancelled, that may have been the Paul Nicholas one
We saw this in Norwich. Hard to believe it was over ten years ago! Schofield was on during the week but didn't do the Saturday performances, which we saw. As as been said previously, Paul Nicholas was on on Saturday. It was quite jolly, but hard to believe it filled the Palladium.
He definately did Saturdays when I saw it as it was a saturday matinee, maybe it was schedule depending. Did it play the Palladium? I thought it only played Hammersmith?
I think Phillip Schofield was presenting a live Saturday night show at the time which is why he didn't do the Saturday shows - I think it was a Lottery related show but not 100% sure!
It played the Hammersmith Apollo. I saw the first preview which when I had to leave to go for dinner was running at 3hrs 40mins!!!! I never got to see the flying moth around the auditorium! Updated On: 5/13/12 at 07:44 PM
