a second season on NBC. These are very early reports but this suggests that SMASH has been a ratings winner.

Whilst many Brits wait for the first season to air on Sky Atlantic in April, a second series will follow.

Some have also suggested that SMASH and the musical it focuses on 'Marilyn' could well get an actual outing on Broadway, which would be simply amazing, if the whole concept was a drama constructed to build up an expectation then this trumps anything ALW has achieved!!

It's a theatrical Dallas...with some musical interludes. Starts well, dips, and gets sillier and more dramatic in the most recent episodes. (apparently).
Fun to watch (generally).

So many Broadway performers, some in small roles (Anne Harada, Brad Oscar) and this week it starred Bernadette Peters! The original music by Marc Shaiman and Scott Whittman is fantastic - I'd be very surprised if the show within the show didn't get some kind of stage presentation.

I've been downloading this from Pirate Bay since it started as Sky wont allow me to subscribed to Atlantic as I am a Virgin customer. I am quite enjoying it - though Jack Davenport is seriously miscast. The staging of the numbers is ace!

Great show but it aint a ratings winner, with only around 7 million viewers and a tiny 2.1 demo it would be axed by any other network, however because its on NBC that can no longer launch a hit show then its done fine for them.
