Great, cannot wait for it to come over in 2013, I just think it will be great to witness the vitriols in the Daily Mail, be something like 'Broadway lowers taste of musical theatre to an all time low, new musical coming to the west End that feature songs about babies and frogs being ****** and woman having their ***** ripped out, brilliant............... bring it on baby!!!
'Billy' was nearly revived in the early 1990's with Jonathan Morris from 'Bread' all signed up along with Ria Jones. The production was well advanced and was to be produced by a company that Prince Edward was involved in, no it wasn't RUG! This company suddenly disappeared and so did all the plans for a 'Billy' revival. Such a brilliant show, well the Drury Lane production was so spectacular, it would so work today with a few tweaks here and there.
