Hadestown's commercial future  Jun 13 2019, 05:49:34 PM

I saw it in previews at the last minute.  I'm 70 - and loved it.  When my 92 year old mother heard I was going, she and her 92 year old friend got tickets and loved it. I was describing it to my daughter, and my 14 year old grandsons both chimed in they knew the mythology (they did - they told it to me) and they wanted to see it.  So I got tickets for them.  (Now I'm broke.) I think it has wide appeal.  I could be off base, but certainly my mother is not the t

Is there insurance available for theater tickets?  Nov 29 2018, 06:56:08 PM

I noticed when buying tickets to Burn This at the Hudson, that before checkout insurance was offered for around $18 for the two tickets (I think).  The terms seemed pretty broad -- travel issues, sickness, work etc.  These tickets were purchased through the Hudson Theater ticketing site - not Telecharge or Ticketmaster.  Don't recall whether offered there.

After reading this thread, I went to check on Ticketmaster, because I had bought tickets for a Sunday matinee for my grandson.  The performance, as well as the entire second week, has been cancelled!.  No notice from Ticketmaster.  Oh well.

Curious Incident of The Dog View From Rear Orchrestra  Apr 7 2015, 07:45:07 PM

I realize this is too late for this time, but theaters will give you excellent seats if you are truly visually impaired, at regular prices.  My mother has macular degeneration and needs to sit up very close.  She does need to pay full price, but the seats are normally premium.  They have never asked for proof.

Priscilla Seating at the Palace NY  Apr 4 2011, 06:33:00 PM
I sat 1/3 of the way back slightly on the side and the seats were great. I usually like to be up close, but for this show, I think I would have missed alot. The show is in such broad strokes you miss nothing by being a little ways back, and if you are too close, you miss the great staging.
My Take on Anything Goes / The Motherf**ker with the Hat  Apr 3 2011, 07:03:52 PM
SPOILER -- Actually I thought the person with the hat was the Chris Rock character. I thought that was revealed toward the end of the play.
