Red Mountain Theatre Welcomes Milburn & Vigoda, Now thru 2/9
Red Mountain Theatre Company (RMTC) presents nationally acclaimed composers Milburn & Vigoda today, February 5-9, 2014 at the RMTC Cabaret Theatre (301 19th Street North). Brendan Milburn and Valerie Vigoda, two-thirds of the band Groovelily, bring their luscious creation of classical, rock, and Broadway to Birmingham. The irresistible combination of Valerie's indomitable electric violin and Brendan's blazing piano make these Disney songwriters a must-hear.
Milburn & Vigoda inhabit that contemporary space where creative musicians ignore the boundaries laid down by words like rock, folk, jazz and pop. Intelligent original songs with no shortage of wit connect lush musical textures and soaring vocals with the blazing six-string electric violin of Valerie Vigoda and the lightning-fingered piano of Brendan Milburn. With backgrounds in classical music, musical theatre, and jazz, the two members of Milburn & Vigoda are making new music that's all their own.
