Love ... in a single moment it can make us laugh and move us to tears. It changes lives, moves mountains and makes us feel complete. Love and all its wondrous ways will find its way into your heart as the Wetumpka Depot Players present a one night only production of A R Gurney's Pulitzer nominated play, Love Letters. The February 12 performance is a season extra featuring Kristy Meanor, Depot Player's executive director and Greg Thornton, artistic director of the Cloverdale Playhouse. The special event program will benefit youth programs at the Depot Theatre and is a delightful addition to the company's 33rd season.

"Greg and I presented Love Letters last February as a benefit for the newly formed Cloverdale Playhouse," said Ms. Meanor. "I am delighted to revisit the show again with Greg here at the Depot. It's a really special play that is perfect for Valentine's week. We are also delighted to offer our patrons complimentary dessert and coffee at intermission. It's a perfect date night."

Tracing the lifelong correspondence of two unlikely romantic partners, the story of their bittersweet relationship gradually unfolds from what is written-and what is left unsaid. Both come to understand what true love can mean. "Love Letters is just a terrific play for two actors, seated at a table, reading great words and thoughts that are simple, moving, honest....and funny," said Mr. Thornton.

Tickets are just $15 and may be reserved by calling the Depot at 334-868-1440 or by visiting the theatre's website at www.wetumpkadepot.com. The Depot Theatre is located at 300 S Main Street in the heart of historic downtown Wetumpka.
