Birmingham Festival Theatre Presents TOBACCO ROAD, 7/29-8/7

Tobacco Road will delight and astound you with its humorous and biting look at the lives of sharecropper Jeeter Lester and his family, trapped by poverty in rural Georgia as their living standards steadily decline. This powerful drama, adapted from the controversial novel by Erskine Caldwell, invites us to laugh at our shortcomings.

Pricing
Single tickets are $20-$15 for students with a valid ID.
Group rate is $15 for 10 or more (reservation and prepayment required).
Thursday, July 29, is Pay-What-You-Can-Afford ($5 minimum).

BATTLE HUNGER: Bring a non-perishable food item with you to the show. BFT will donate all items to the Food Bank at Southside Baptist Church.

ENJOY MUSIC: Arrive early to hear old-time string bands including Jubilee, HeyHowdies, Sara Green, and The Potted Meat Boys. A different band each night of opening weekend! See the BFT Blog for details.

VIEW ARTWORK: Works from Jennifer Harwell Art will be displayed in the Haden Gaines Marsh Gallery.
