Lemi Ponifasio en zijn MAU-compagnie komen terug naar de KVS met Tempest II, deze keer onder de titel Tempest: without a body. Het werk van MAU is in zijn esthetiek radicaal hedendaags, maar put overvloedig uit de tradities van de Zuidzee-volkeren. De grote suggestieve kracht en het ceremoniële karakter hebben op de toeschouwer een bijna meditatief effect. Tempest... vormt hierop geen uitzondering. Een engel met geknakte vleugels doolt rond in een landschap van bloed en vernieling. De MAU-dansers duiken op uit de schaduwen om te bidden op de ruïnes van de geschiedenis. Een aangrijpend en beangstigend mooi beeld van de wereld na 9/11.
