Please Underestimate Me is a world premiere solo show starring celebrity chef, author, and TV personality Carla Hall, directed by Helen Hayes Award-recipient Lili-Anne Brown. Hall co-wrote the show with Lori Kaye and Leslie Thomas. The show follows Hall's journey from her Tennessee roots as a theater camp kid through Howard University, the runways of Paris, and her experiences navigating expectations of Black excellence and sexism, as she discovers her authentic voice. The production was extended two weeks through July 26, 2026 following popular and critical acclaim.
