Drama Learning Center’s professional training company for emerging young artists will present Jason Robert Brown’s 13 this month. A hilarious coming-of-age musical about discovering that “cool” is sometimes where we least expect it, 13 follows Evan Goldman as he moves from New York City to a small Indiana town. Grappling with his parents’ divorce, and preparing for his Bar Mitzvah, Evan navigates the complicated social circles of a new school, as well as the ins and outs of learning how to be a successful young adult. With music by Tony Award-winning Jason Robert Brown (Parade, Bridges of Madison County, Songs for a New World), 13 is a musical about fitting in – and standing out!
Ages: Recommended for ages 12 and up

The musical hit was the most-nominated show of the 2014 season with ten TONY Award nominations (including four wins), seven Drama Desk Awards, four Outer Critics Circle Awards, and a Drama League Award.
