(07/17/2012) - Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) presents another installment of the Laugh Station series. The Laugh Station series debut in January of this year and the upcoming Laugh Station: Papaya marks the third new show in the series. Maryland Ensemble Theatre will present Laugh Station: Papaya as part of its MET-X series, created to expand the collective horizons of the MET ensemble and its audience. Performances are July 27 and 28 at 9pm and July 28 at midnight at Maryland Ensemble Theatre (31 W Patrick St. Frederick) located in the historic FSK Hotel. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased by phone at (301) 694-4744, online at marylandensemble.org, or in person at the MET box office. The show is intended for mature audience only.

All performances will be taking place at Rice Auditorium, 55 Wade Avenue, Catonsville MD 21228. $15 general admission and $13 for students, seniors, veterans and active military. (06/24/2012) - Imagination Stage, in a collaboration with The Washington Ballet, presents its world premiere summer production, THE LION, THE WITCH & THE WARDROBE. In this fusion of theater, dance, and puppetry, based on the novel by C.S. Lewis, the roles of the four children are played jointly by an actor and a dancer, and the courageous lion Aslan is portrayed by a life-size puppet operated by three actor/puppeteers, similar to the puppets used in the Broadway production War Horse. For the fall, it is off to the Windy City!

The audience helps them navigate over Dancing Mountain, through Silly Singing Bridge and to confront the Pirate Piggies. Along the way, the audience will use their map-reading, counting, musical and language skills to successfully help Dora reach the treasure. All ends happily onstage with a 'yo-ho-ho!'

The two were introduced by a friend of Rosen's, who wasn't able to make the wedding, as a result of the weather and warnings throughout all the boroughs. In George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion, Professor Henry Higgins changes the life of a cockney flower girl through the magic of language and a good makeover. At the Everyman Theatre, director Eleanor Holdridge breathes new life into this timeless story which has been told and retold in many times and many ways since its publication in 1913.
