(10/08/2009) - The 2009 Season marked The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre's 15th Anniversary Season. For the year, WOB brought many area premieres to the stage including a regional theatre premiere production of the musical comedy The Wedding Singer and Mel Brooks' The Producers. Capping off the year, WOB has added a New Year's Eve special event to the calendar to celebrate the end of 2009 and arrival of 2010.
(09/04/2009) - Single Carrot Theatre will open its 2009/2010 season with Ruhl?s Eurydice, a vibrant new take on the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice (pronounced yoo-RID-uh-see). Ruhl?s version tells the familiar love story from the perspective of Eurydice, whose wedding to Orpheus is marred by her sudden death.
(08/19/2009) - The final entry in the 28th annual Baltimore Playwrights Festival features 4 one-act plays by local Baltimore area playwrights in one evening of theatre.
(08/03/2009) - Theatrical Mining Company's TURDUCKEN is by Lisa Hodsoll and directed by Andrew Peters. It ran at Le Clerc Hall at the College of Notre Dame as part of the 28th Baltimore Playwrights Festival from July 16, 2008 to August 2, 2009.
(07/20/2009) - Wayside Theatre Artistic Director Warner Crocker presents the second play of the season and performance schedule, The Gin Game. The Gin Game runs through August 15th. The play is a Pulitzer Prize winner for Drama by D. L. Colburn.

Coming this summer to Frederick is Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats. Continuing Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre's 15th Anniversary Season, Cats will open Friday evening, June 19th following WOB's regional theatre premiere production of the musical comedy The Wedding Singer.

Smolder is the final play in an entire season dedicated to new plays by emerging playwrights. (03/20/2008) - Signature Theatre (Eric Schaeffer, Artistic Director) is pleased to present the Kander & Ebb Celebration, the highlight of the Theatre's spring 2008 season, opening on March 11 and running through June 22. The festival is a four-month celebration of the works of the great Broadway songwriting team of John Kander & Fred Ebb. Kander and Ebb were the longest-running songwriting partnership in Broadway musical history, working together from 1965 until Ebb's death in 2004.
