Vagabond Players To Open 103rd Season With Unique Adaptation Of ROMEO AND JULIET Image

Vagabond Players will open their 103rd season on September 7 with Shakespeare's R&J, a unique adaptation by Joe Calarco, directed by Jennifer M. Spieler. A rigid boys boarding school becomes the setting for a powerful and unorthodox reenactment of Shakespeare's immortal tale of doomed lovers breaking tradition, seeking forbidden desires, and painfully coming of age. This high-voltage, all-male adaptation of Romeo and Juliet becomes a provocative examination of adolescents declaring war on all the "thou shalt nots" in their stifling world. This production opens Friday, September 7 and runs through Sunday, September 30 - with a special $10 Thursdays on Broadway performance on September 27 at 8 p.m. To purchase tickets, check out photos or get more information visit www.vagabondplayers.org.
