The Vagabond Players, in conjunction with the Baltimore Playwrights Festival, presents Lethal Injection, by Michael Reimann and directed by Larry Pinker, weekends July 20 –August 5.

A politically charged murder trial rocks a small Texas town when two wealthy brothers are accused of killing a man believed to be the stalker of a teenaged girl. Both defendants proudly claim to be the killer, and the townspeople seem to believe the victim got just what he deserved anyway. Supported by nearly the whole town, the popular down-home defendants seem assured of acquittal, especially with weight of the politically connected Judge-a childhood friend of the Governor-behind them. Surely, this is an open-and-shut case. But, the determined District Attorney, smelling something foul in the forensic evidence, jeopardizes his career in his relentless pursuit of the whole truth. The trial is a maze of deceptive twists with an explosive surprise ending.

Vagabond Players, America's Oldest Continuously Operating Little Theatre, is  located in historic Fells Point at 806 S. Broadway

Lethal Injection runs Fridays and Saturdays, at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm, July 20-August 5, 2012.
