The Howard County Arts Council Seeks Volunteers for 2013 Visual and Performing Arts Summer Camps

The Howard County Arts Council (HCAC) is currently accepting applications for Camp Volunteers (unpaid) for its 2013 Visual and Performing Arts Summer Camps. Downloadable applications are available on the "Getting Involved" page of HCAC's website at www.hocoarts.org.

Duties of the Volunteer position include preparing classrooms and materials for the day's activities, supervising campers in art-related activities as directed by the classroom instructor, and monitoring campers during breaks, lunch times, etc. Volunteers must be aged 15 by September 1, 2013.

Camps are offered June 24 - August 16 from 9am-3:30pm; before- and after-care are offered from 8-9am and 3:30-6pm, respectively. Hours for Volunteers will vary. Opportunities may be available to work extended hours during before- and after-care. Application deadline for priority consideration is March 11.
