Ever wanted to be a star but aren't quite good enough? Ever wanted to participate in sports but lack basic muscle definition? Has anyone ever told you ‘you have a face for radio?' Well, tell your mom you have some place to go on Saturday night! The Strand Theater presents SKITCOM; a workshop for the untelevisable. "I love sitcoms but always thought they should be less entertaining and performed for much smaller audiences. Finally." delights Jayme Kilburn, Artistic Director.
Please join the Strand Theater Company on Saturday, October 10th, 2009 at 7pm for the premiere of our workshop series, SKITCOM. Participants will break up into groups and begin writing their own sitcom for the stage. After one hour, we will reconvene and each skit will be performed by the writers themselves. Each piece must follow a situational comedy format. In ten minutes your skitcom must present your characters with a problem which they hilariously resolve. The SKITCOM workshop will be lead by registered sexy offender and Strand Theater Artistic Director, Jayme Kilburn.SKITCOM; a workshop for the untelevisableVideos
