Spotlighters Theatre to Host The Audrey Herman Celebration 2017

Spotlighters Theatre invites everyone to attend The Audrey Herman Celebration - 2017 on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 6:00pm, at the Inn at the Colonnade (4 West University Pkwy) in the Hopkins Ballroom.

The annual celebration is an night to honor Audrey Herman the founder of Spotlighters and look forward to the coming season, the theatre's 56th!

The evening will be filled with delicious food from hors d'oeuvres to carving stations, a cash bar, dancing, a photo booth, a silent auction and entertainment. During the evening the theatre will present two awards to individuals who have made a difference for arts & theatre.

The Audrey Herman Award will be presented to Valerie Lash (Dean of Arts & Humanities at Howard Community College) for her dedication and support of the arts & theatre across Baltimore. Ms Lash is a local actor and director, having worked on numerous stages across the region. She is also the founding director of REP Stage at Howard Community College.

The evening will also include the presentation of the Spotlighters Award to Michael W. Tan for his volunteer efforts to support Spotlighters as a Board Member, Musical Director, actor and director. Mr. Tan is a Program Director in the School of Continuing Education at Community College of Baltimore County.

Throughout the evening performers will present musical selections from the theatre's 56th season, and dance music provided by Sounds of Success (DJ).
