Pumpkin Theatre to Welcome New Producing Artistic Director Raine Bode

Pumpkin Theatre is proud to announce the hiring of new Producing Artistic Director, Raine Bode, who will lead the theater into its 47th Season.

"We are thrilled to have Raine Bode as our new leader and know that she will help propel children's theatre in Baltimore to new heights. We are looking forward to our future with renewed excitement", said Ana Goldseker, Board President.

Raine Bode is a Baltimore native and a graduate of Towson University's Theater Program. She has directed twice at Pumpkin Theatre in the past two seasons (The Elves and the Shoemaker / The Wizard of Oz) and has worked independently, contracting as an AEA Stage Manager. She has also served as Assistant Production Manager at Center Stage, Production Manager at Baltimore Shakespeare Festival, spent six years working under the Ellen Stewart at LaMaMa ETC in New York and has over 20 years directing experience.

Prior Producing Artistic Director, Jimi Kinstle has accepted a position at as the Upper School Theater Director at Roland Park Country School and will move to Pumpkin's Board of Directors.

"Jimi was invaluable in helping Pumpkin thrive in an economic storm. It is because of him that we are in a strong position in the community and a destination for families to come for entertainment, education and inspiration. We are sad to see him go, but look forward to working with him on the board to secure Pumpkin's future", says Goldseker.

Bode will begin her tenure August 1, 2014.
