The Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) will present "The Last Hurrah Saves Thanksgiving", a holiday special that is sure to prevent Thanksgiving from being overshadowed by Christmas. On Nov. 23rd at 7 p.m. the festivities will begin. All are welcome to attend as Thanksgiving is reinvented as an international holiday with a brand new mascot, Mumps The Dying Turkey. new traditions for food consumption will be presented, festive forms of high-fiving will be given, and we'll all greet one another with a hearty "You're Welcome." Guests will include Isabel Duarte, Matt Kline, James McGarvey and more.

The Last Hurrah is an original weekly comedy show that takes place in the MET's Frank Greene Theatre (Stage 2) and is produced by MET Company Member Kevin Cole. It offers audiences one last chance to have fun before returning to their 9 to 5 jobs on Monday, and provides performers a chance to work out brand new material. Each episode is recorded and released as a podcast on iTunes the following day.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre will present The Last Hurrah as part of its MET-X series, created to expand the collective horizons of the MET ensemble and its audience. Performances take place on Sundays at 7 p.m. at Maryland Ensemble Theatre (31 W Patrick St., Frederick) located in the historic FSK Hotel. The Last Hurrah is a free event and all are welcome to attend.
