Originally organized 35 years ago as the Burtonsville Players, Inc., the Laurel Mill Playhouse produces community-driven productions in our completely renovated, 100-year-old home in the middle of historic Laurel, Maryland. That makes us one of the few community theater organizations to own its facility. We are located approximately half-way between Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

Our mission is simple. We aim to provide the community with the opportunity to expand the cultural base of the quad-county area -- through theatre arts, combining music, art, dance, youth, and senior activities.

Our group has the determination to provide space and the resources to foster a creative environment. By encouraging individuals to be challenged by new works and skills, we hope to assist with the discovery and expansion of creative potential in the community.

Our goal is to provide training and initiate outreach opportunities within the counties we serve.
