Fells Point Corner Theatre to Continue Season with VENUS IN FUR

By: Feb. 26, 2016

Fells Point Corner Theatre continues its 2105-2016 Season (#FIREintheHOUSE) with this humorous and mysterious David Ives play. This spooky, sexcomedy begins at the end...the end of a long day. The Director has auditioned too many actresses and is left to this one. He's looking for the perfect actress to play the part in his "adapted" play - she's looking to give the best audition in her questionable career. Here is a suspensepacked study of blistering erotic (and semiotic) power play in which the director and the actress prove to be seriously, almost scarily adept.

The dual cast of actors, Anne Shoemaker (T he Complete Works of Shakespeare, Born Yesterday) and Andrew Porter (Lone Star, Superior Donuts) lead us through a raucous battle of genderbending power roles. Lynda McClary (Director of Baltimore's 2011 award winning and critically acclaimed production of The Iceman Cometh) directs.

Due to strong language and sexual situations, Venus in Fur is recommended for mature audiences.
