Fells Point Corner Theatre Closes FOOL FOR LOVE 10/17

By:

Twenty-four years ago, Fells Point Corner Theatre was born! Its first main stage production was Fool For Love, by Sam Shepard, directed by Barry Feinstein. Well documented by reviews, newspaper articles, radio shows, theatre patrons and actors, Barry has exhibited his astonishing directing prowess again and again during the past 24 years and the story continues! Fell's Point Corner Theatre is delighted to announce that Fool for Love, once again under Barry Feinstein's skillful direction, will open our 2010-2011 Season!

Fool For Love relates the compelling tale of a mysterious drifter, who returns to a seedy motel at the edge of the Mojave Desert to resume a romance with an old lover. However, the tension mounts when another man appears, who is also out to win her heart. What ensues is a fierce, relentless drive of passion between two lovers coming from a secretive past. Fool For Love is a modern day western love triangle, where The Players fight each other with piercing words instead of guns. Featured in the cast are Kate Volpe, Bobby DeAngelo, Michael Zemarel and Jeff Murray.

Barry Feinstein was a Speech Pathologist for the Baltimore City School System for over 30 years and has been directing in the Baltimore area since 1976. In addition to shows too numerous to mention, Barry most recently directed Moliere's The Miser and Christopher Durang's The Marriage of Bette and Boo, here at Fell's Point Corner Theatre. His acting workshops at Fell's Point Corner Theatre are quite popular and he also directs FPCT's "Special Players, Inspired Theatre."
