About the play: Callie is a long-time New Yorker whose biggest life accomplishment thus far is avoiding commitment. After a chance meeting with Sara, a bright-eyed, ambitious teacher recently relocated to the City, their lives intertwine in ways that neither could imagine. A Romeo and Juliet sized love story within the confines of modern America – exchanging warring family tribes with vicious prejudice.

Playwright Diana Son takes the chronological storytelling convention and shatters it completely, giving us a play with haunting foreshadowing, each scene deepening our understanding and anticipation of the violence to come.

This opportunity is non-union, non-paid. Questions? Want to request a digital copy of the script? Contact Jay at email@jaymichaelgilman.com.
