Everyman Theatre's OUR TOWN Extends Thru 4/25

By:

Everyman Theatre announced today Our Town will be adding seven shows. This incredibly beautiful portrait of a small New Hampshire town in the early 1900's has been delighting Everyman audiences and causing them to realize modern day life is not so different after all this time. An incredibly talented castcontaining Everyman resident company members, students from the Baltimore School for the Arts, and talented regional actors take the audience on a journey through every day life, falling in love, and ultimatelydeath. This is the third time Everyman Theatre is collaborating with Baltimore School for the Arts.

"We are veryexcited to be collaborating again with the Baltimore School for the Arts," said Everyman Founding Artistic Director Vincent Lancisi. "Our Town is the perfect play for this as there is something special about gatheringthree generations of actors on one stage to perform a play that has represented so many communities across this country. With all the diversity in Baltimore, the neighborhoods, the people, this production shows how the tiny town of the play is a microcosm for the greater community we call home.

"Here's what the press is saying about Everyman's production of Our Town:

"The thoughtful new production of Our Town at the Everyman Theatre provides a gentle reminder of howthings don't ever really change so much, not deep down." -Baltimore Sun "Everyman's production will let audiences see Our Town with fresh eyes." -WYPR "a deep cast in which even the smallest parts were well acted." -Baltimore City Paper

Our Town runs through April 25, offering performances Wednesday through Sunday. Everyman Theatre is a professional Equity theatre company with a resident ensemble of artists from the Baltimore/DC area dedicated to presenting high quality plays that are affordable and accessible to everyone.
