DLC's Teen Professional Co Hosts LES MISERABLES Auditions 9/6-15

Drama Learning Center has announced upcoming auditions for DLC's Teen Professional Company, Teaching Young Actors, and their production of Les Miserables. Auditions for Drama Learning Center's Jr. Company will also be held. Grade-eligible auditionees will be considered for placement in either company. Available by audition only, the TYA class allows students to work in a professional theatre environment as they learn about all aspects of theatrical work.

Also, new this year, the TYA Scholars Program is a college preparatory program for students interested in pursuing a collegiate and professional career in theatre. TYA directors will offer up to two students per grade level the opportunity to participate in this program which will be a full school year commitment to both TYA shows and have additional objectives per grade level.

T.Y.A. Teen Professional Company- Les Miserables School Edition
Auditions: By appointment September 6-15, callbacks October 1
Eligible grades: 8-12 & TYA alums
Class Times: Saturdays 2-5pm, with select Sundays & weekday evenings for small group work
Class Dates: October 8- January 7 (No Class December 24 or 31)
Dress Rehearsals: January 14-19 Shows: January 20-28
Cost: $565 ($300 due at first class, balance due Dec. 1st)

T.Y.A. Junior Company - Song and Scene Showcase
Auditions: By appointment September 6-15
Eligible grades: 6-10
Class Times: Sundays 6-9pm, select Mondays
Dates: October 10-December 11 (No class Oct. 31 or Nov. 28)
Dress rehearsals: December 12-15 Showcase: December 16
Cost: $250 ($175 for students already registered for an additional Fall production class)

Prepare a song of your choice (Sheet Music required) and a 2 minute monologue.
Fill out TYA audition form, rehearsal conflict sheet, and read and sign the UPDATED TYA expectation sheet. You will not be able to audition without completed paperwork. Forms can be found at http://www.dramalearningcenter.com/tya.html
Bring the forms to your audition along with a recent picture.
