Comedy Pigs New Sketch Show Set for Now thru 1/19

By:

Disappointed the world didn't come to an end? The Comedy Pigs feel your pain. The Comedy Pigs, Maryland Ensemble Theatre's sketch and improv troupe, normally found playing late night at the MET, are taking the stage at 8pm for two weekends in January with a sketch show that completely ignores the larger issues of the day and focuses on those petty, annoying little incidents that lead us to fantasize about the Apocalypse.

From annoying sales people to annoying customers, from annoying tech to annoying TV, from annoying relationships to annoying break-ups, the Comedy Pigs are there to throw stones and then quickly run away.
Troupe members Carly Ball, Gary Baker, Courtney McLaughlin, Chris "C-Mo" Molloy, Anne Raugh, Franky Russell, Jeff Schnorr, Laura Stark andJulie Williams will strut the stage tonight, January 11, 12, 18 & 19 at 8pm.
The Comedy Pigs debuted in 1993 and they have performed in nationwide improv festivals, been featured on Comedy Central and have also been guests at the National Pork Producers Convention. In February, the Pigs return with late night shows on the 16 and 23 followingTenesse Williams' The Glass Menagerie. The 20th Anniversary season wraps up with three shows in May (3, 4, 25) and two shows in June (14 & 15).
Regular ticket prices are $13.50 (includes a $1.50 service fee) and may be purchased at the MET box office in person, by phone (301) 694-4744, or online at marylandensemble.org. All shows are at Maryland Ensemble Theatre, located in the historic FSK Hotel at 31 W Patrick Street.
