Almost, Maine is described by playwright John Cariani as being about "falling in and out of love." This non-musical romantic comedy is being billed by CPM as PG-13.

"Almost, Maine" is a small town that is almost not in Maine and almost not a town. Eleven short scenes explore interactions about love that all occur on the same evening. Almost, Maine is one of the most produced plays of the last decade. According to Playbill, Almost, Maine is the most-produced high school play for 2015 and 2016.

Fast Company magazine noted that the play is popular with community theaters and international performance groups and has been performed in 20 countries and translated into more than twelve languages.
