Grant Rosen, star of the timeless musical Camelot, joins Hilton Hotels, the Tony Awards®  and Hippodrome Foundation, Inc. in hosting a theater workshop for 40 kids from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Maryland as part of Hilton's First Theatre Memories Program.  Participants will be offered a rare behind-the-scenes look at how a musical is produced in addition to the chance to rehearse and perform songs and scenes from Camelot. Kids will also be treated to a Camelot stage combat workshop by Rosen, during which the kids - armed with their own dowel swords - will be taught the same choreographed fight techniques used in the show.  Following the workshop, the kids will attend a matinee performance of the musical and receive an exclusive opportunity to meet the cast and watch a "fight call" from the front rows.

This workshop is one of three hosted by Hilton Hotels, the Tony Awards and participating theatres in select cities through March 2008 designed to enhance students' appreciation for the arts and provide them with opportunities to experience a Broadway show for the first time. To further extend their theater experience, participating students in each city can enter Hilton's "First Theatre Memories" Writing Contest where one lucky winner will receive a free trip for two to attend the 2008 Tony Awards.

The workshop is on March 29. The schedule is:

9:50 a.m. - opening remarks

10:05 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. - theatre/stage combat workshop with stars of Camelot

12:15 p.m. - media interviews

The Hilton Baltimore BWI Airport is located at 1739 West Nursery Road, Baltimore, MD.
