Come From Away! This is the first show I saw after Covid, and it reminded me why I love theatre. This show highlights people's stories and fosters love and hope, even in times of despair.Favorite Stories:
- The Power of 'Yes' - This article is a reflection on my freshman year of college. I think it's really important to reflect at the end of each year and see what went well and what didn't. In this case, I discovered that what seemed like a major setback at the time actually became my biggest blessing. I want to share this story with others to show that "failures" aren't always what they appear to be. Often, they're just redirections!
- Student Blog: Breaking the Box - There is a misconception that a degree in theatre limits your career options to performing on Broadway or failing. The biggest gift my theatre program has given me thus far is showing me the vast array of potential careers my degree allows me to pursue. I hope this blog provides encouragement and guidance.
- Student Blog: AZAD - Working on AZAD alongside Jared Mezzocchi and Sona Tatoyan opened my eyes to what creativity and collaboration can look like in theatre. The joy, love, and passion in the room each day of the project were awe-inspiring, and I want to share my experience!
- Student Blog: DITL Summer Stock Theatre (Tech Week Version) - Before working as a summer stock intern, I had no idea what this life looked like. I wrote this blog post to show how much fun this position is, as well as how demanding it is.
- The Life of a Showgirl - It’s exhausting to be a busy performe. When so much of your days are dedicated to rehearsals on top of classes on top of meetings and by the time you’re able to start homework it’s been dark outside for hours, it feels like the grind never pauses enough for a full breath.
