A SALUTE TO VIENNA is one of the most lavish song and dance gala concert specials ever produced for public television featuring the superstars of Viennese operetta. The visually spectacular special is hosted by world-famous mezzo soprano Frederica von Stade and Academy Award-winning actor andVienna native Maximilian Schell. Special guests include The Vienna Boys' Choir; Russell Watson, Great Britain's largest-selling, classical-crossover tenor; dancers from the Association of the Vienna State Opera Ballet; the Symphony Orchestra of the Volksoper Vienna under the direction ofinternationally-knownStrauss Conductor Peter Guth; an international cast of top singing stars including sopranos Daniela Fally, Iva Milhanovic and Alexandra Reinprecht; tenors Dmitry Korchak and Tilmann Unger; baritone, Daniel Serafin, as well as many leading stars from the acclaimed Budapest Operetta Theater. A SALUTE TO VIENNA is part of special programming premiering on PBS stations beginning today, August 3, 2013 (check local listings).

Stage and screen star Alan Cumming, a Tony Award winner for his unforgettable Broadway debut as the Emcee in the revival of Cabaret, will share his wit, charm and talents at this year's BUCKS COUNTY CABARET, a one-night-only concert produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The eclectic evening of popular songs and Broadway show tunes will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013, at the historic Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA.

Hangar Theatre continues its 39th Mainstage season with the regional premiere of 4000 Miles, a critically acclaimed comic drama by celebrated new playwright Amy Herzog. The winner of the 2012 Obie Award for Best New American Play, the 2012 Lucile Lortel Award, and the 2012 Off Broadway Alliance Award, 4000 Miles was also named TIME magazine's #1 Play of 2012 and was a finalist for the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Starring Susan Blommaert (Broadway's Grease, Showtime's The Big C) as Vera and Robbie Tann(Troublemaker at Berkely Rep, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer at Actors Theatre of Louisville and The New Victory Theatre in New York) as Leo with emerging artists Paton Ashbrook and Jeena Yi to round out the cast. After a passionate reception from critics and audiences, the world premiere of Neurosis: A New Musical has announced a one-week extension at the Merry-Go-Round Downtown, part of the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival. The critically heralded all-male Shakespeare's Globe repertory productions of Twelfth Night and Richard III will come to Broadway this fall. The productions, which delighted audiences and broke all box office records in London's West End earlier this year, will open Sunday, November 10 at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street), with previews beginning October 15. The Hollywood Bowl's production of the third longest running musical in Broadway history - CHICAGO - stars Samantha Barks as Velma, Drew Carey as Amos, Lucy Lawless as Mama Morton, Stephen Moyer as Billy Flynn, and Ashlee Simpson as Roxie Hart. The Production opened last night, July 26, and runs through July 28. The show is directed by Brooke Shields with Musical Direction by Rob Fisher. The Orion Experience has released a teaser trailer in advance of its Off-Broadway run at XL Nightclub in New York, which begins next week Thursday, August 1. The show is an interactive dance party featuring original electro-pop music by the group of the same name, complete with a 9-piece band, dancers, aerialists, drag, space vampires, cocktails and plenty of other immersive activities to get the audience involved.
