Spencer Scalamoni recently graduated from SUNY at Purchase College, Summa Cum Laude, with a B.A. in Playwriting and Screenwriting. His musical One World was the recipient of the Lucille Werlinich Senior Project Award, with screenplays The Director and The Xmas Hit List both receiving the honor of being featured on Purchase’s Heliotrope List for distinguished student work. His debut musical, Saving Spencer, was presented as a staged reading as part of the 2021 NJ Theatre Alliance Stages Festival by Skyline Theatre Company. Some of Spencer’s one-act plays have received honors at New Jersey playwriting festivals, including Ahead for ArtsPride NJ’s Diner Theater and Oh My God for The Theatre Project’s Young Playwrights Competition. Spencer has worked with and been mentored by many incredible theatremakers and writers including Eoin Colfer, David Auburn, and Linda Woolverton.
