Scott Serio is an award-winning photojournalist based in the Mid-Atlantic Region. He is the community photojournalist for the Cecil Guardian newspaper in Cecil County, MD and is also a contract freelance photographer for the Baltimore Sun Media Group. Additionally, he is the official photographer for Cal Ripken Baseball. On top of all of this, Mr. Serio does a great deal of live performance photography in the area, focusing on theater and dance. He has photographed dance and theater ranging from the first recital of his daughters at age three all the way up to the Moscow Ballet's Nutcracker. There are many holiday traditions, from fruit cake to watching A Christmas Story over and over again to the neverending disagreement about opening gifts on Christmas Eve or morning. For those connected to dance, there is no greater tradition than seeing a performance of The Nutcracker.
