In The Real Thing, playwright Henry (Ewan McGregor) struggles to name the songs he'd take if he were stranded on a desert island.

I am so pleased to announce that casting for the world premiere of Jeff Augustin's Little Children Dream of God, directed by Giovanna Sardelli, is complete. The play will feature Gilbert Cruz (Manuel), Dashiell Eaves (Trevor), Carl Hendrick Louis (Toussaint and Man), Maurice Jones (Joel), Crystal Lucas-Perry (Madison), Chris Myers (Vishal), Deirdre O'Connell (Carolyn), and Carra Patterson (Sula).

It is my pleasure to announce that the upcoming production of Into The Woods at the Laura Pels Theatre will feature the original McCarter Theatre Center/Fiasco Theater cast. These ten extraordinary actors are Jessie Austrian (Baker's Wife), Noah Brody (Lucinda/Wolf/Cinderella's Prince), Paul L. Coffey (Mysterious Man), Andy Grotelueschen (Milky White/Florinda/Rapunzel's Prince), Liz Hayes (Cinderella's Stepmother/Jack's Mother), Claire Karpen (Cinderella/Granny),Jennifer Mudge (Witch), Patrick Mulryan (Jack/Steward), Ben Steinfeld (Baker), and Emily Young (Little Red Ridinghood/Rapunzel). As you know, Noah Brody and Ben Steinfeld (co-Artistic Directors, along with Jessie Austrian, of Fiasco Theater) are also directing this thrillingly imaginative iteration of the musical.

I am pleased to announce that our 2015-2016 Season production of Noises Off, starring Andrea Martin, will begin previews on December 17, 2015 and open on January 14, 2016. Jeremy Herrin, who makes his Broadway debut this season with Wolf Hall, will direct the production.

I am honored to announce that the first production of our 50th Anniversary Season will be Emile Zola'sTherese Raquin, in a Roundabout-commissioned adaptation by Helen Edmundson and directed by Evan Cabnet. In Haiti, at night, entire villages gather around fires and candlelight to listen to folklore whispered by a single storyteller. My family carried that tradition with them to the states, where my six older siblings and I grew up listening to magical and fantastical stories, many based on religious and voodoo figures. I never knew what was real or supernatural, or if the supernatural was just as real as I. In these stories, characters were constantly running from their family and their land in search for a new identity. But in a world where spirits, deities, and God guide life, these characters were bound to their destinies.

Director of The Real Thing, Sam Gold, discusses the play with Ted Sod. Ted Sod: Why did you choose to direct Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing? What would you say the play is about?

Ted Sod: Who makes a good director for your plays? ? Tom Stoppard: That's a really dangerous question. I don't know if it's a simple answer. Somebody who likes to do my plays is a good director for them.
