The episode starts off with 'booty camp' on the stage rediscovering that Santana had rejoined Glee Club, under the radar of Sue Sylvester. Mercedes claims they the group is overworked, and Will still tries to push them even further, claiming that if they want to win, that's what needs to be done. Back at home, Will finds a stash of wedding magazines among the things in the kitchen, and Will and Emma discuss the possibility of getting married in the future. Will wants to meet her parents, to Emma's dismay. The next scene is Mike Chang and his father, Mike Chang, Sr., and we learn that his son has received and A- (or an Asian F) in chemistry. The father blames Mike's girlfriend, Tina, for his bad grade, and says that he has to quit Glee Club to improve his grade. In the locker room, Coach Beiste tells everyone that they have to show up later on that week trained to dance, as all the football players will be in West Side Story.
A lot is happening this week, Gleeks! Secrets! Returns! Unicorns! Yes, Gleeks - unicorns! Sit back and take this magical journey to all things Glee! Brittany decides she wants to be involved with Kurt's campaign for president, and offers her services to Kurt, explaining to him that he is a unicorn and unicorns are special. Mr. Schuester explains to the glee club kids that he'll be unable to direct the school musical, West Side Story, this year - so he has passed on the job to Emma and Coach Bieste, with student assistance by Artie. Shelby Corcoran returns to Lima as a new glee club director, brought in by Sugar's father to make his little girl a star. Quinn continues her downward spiral - but Sue decides to use this to her advantage and to help her campaign for congressional seat. Shelby reaches out to Quinn and Puck about being a part of Beth's life, but Quinn refuses to clean up her act or listen to Shelby's comments.
It's back to school time, Gleeks! Welcome to another year at McKinley High School - full of songs, drama, and more! Grab a slushie and prepare your best sixteen bars - school and glee club are back in session. School has begun again at McKinley and Jacob Ben Israel is at it again - grilling the glee clubbers about where they stand - some have one more year, some have big dreams, but Finn has no idea what he wants. Unlike Rachel and Kurt, who seem to know exactly where they're going - Finn is struggling to find where he wants to go and be once high school is over. When Ms. Pillsbury informs Rachel and Kurt that their dream school of Julliard doesn't have musical theater, the diva duos begin to look at new options. During a coffee date, Kurt attempts to sway Blaine to join him at McKinley, but the Warbler is still reluctant.
Every Tuesday night at 8, we tune in to see the colorful cast of McKinley High's New Directions deal with the world of high school, with a little bit of song, a little bit of sass, and a ton of glee. The energy around the Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday was buzzing, just like the little buzzing interludes you hear sometimes on the show. The energy was high as everyone anxiously anticipated the appearance of the cast of colorful characters we've come to know in two seasons of the hit Fox comedy.
This is it, Gleeks! After two years of hard work, New Directions is taking on Nationals - and in the Big Apple, of all places. Those little town blues are melting away, and New Directions is hoping that New York, New York will make their dreams come true. The New Directions are ready to take New York by storm, but Mr. Schuester confines them to their rooms to write the two original songs for Nationals. With the kids confined to their room, Will goes to check out the theater where April's show is playing. However, after Brittany performs a song entitled 'My Cup', Quinn suggests they let New York write the songs for them, leading them out of their rooms into the city where dreams come true. The kids take to the streets with a mash-up of 'I Love New York' by Madonna and 'New York, New York' by Frank Sinatra.
Gleeks, we are just one episode away from Nationals, but with such joy and excitement comes the demise of many things - and tonight, we will mourn the loss of several things before the joy of Nationals overwhelms us. Mr. Schuester signs up Jesse to consult him on how to prepare the New Directions, which has Finn on edge, and only gets worse as Jesse calls Finn out on his less than stellar talents. Sue, Terri, and Howard hack into Principal Figgin's email account to mess with the New Directions travel plans to New York, before Terri calls Sue on her more ruthless than usual exterior. Becky and her mother come to Will to inquire about Becky joining Glee Club after Sue kicks her off the Cheerios, but sadly Will is unable to fulfill the request so close to Nationals. Will confronts Sue on why she kicked Becky off the Cheerios, only to find out that Jean, Sue's sister has passed away, and Becky is a reminder of the sister Sue lost. Jesse and Will put up a sign up sheet to audition for soloist for Nationals, but Finn refuses to sign up due to Jesse's harsh criticisms.
Gleeks - It's Prom-time at McKinley High! Are you ready for a Glee-tastic evening of gowns, tuxedos, and prom royalty?! Break out your prom dresses and tuxedos, Gleeks! It's going to be a night to remember! With Prom fast approaching, everyone is preparing in their own way - Puck talks his campaign for King with Lauren as his queen with Jacob, who insinuates Lauren wears the pants in the relationship. Meanwhile, Principal Figgins calls Will and Sue to his office to ask Will if the Glee Club will perform at Prom due to the lost of his beloved Air Supply. The talk of prom and dates gets to Mercedes, who storms out of Glee rehearsal and admits to Rachel that all she's ever wanted is the dream prom. Kurt asks Blaine to Prom, and despite some horrible memories of a previous dance experience, Blaine accepts. Mercedes and Rachel propose a trip-date situation to Sam, who seemingly agrees to the arrangement.
Pssst, hey, Gleeks. Have you heard the rumors? Not only are the Glee Clubbers doing some Fleetwood Mac tonight, but rumors are flying, and someone may be cheating?! ...Let's get down with the dish, shall we, Gleeks? Brittany launches a web show called 'Fondue for Two' centered on fondue and hot gossip, ends up revealing - in typical Brittany manner - Santana 'plays for another team'. Sue and Terri meet to plot new ways to break up the Glee Club - including bringing back the school newspaper and launching a gossip campaign against the Glee Clubbers. April Rhodes pops back into town, after all white version of The Wiz fails on Broadway. She and Will talk, and she ends up suggesting the Glee Clubbers devote a lesson to Rumours, the album produced by a self-destructing Fleetwood Mac to keep things together.
Hey Gleeks, you know what's better than a regular episode of Glee? A super-sized episode that's packed full of ninety Gleekin minutes! Are you ready for some Gagalicious Glee goodness? Put your paws up, Gleeks, because it's time to be born this ways, Gleeks! After Finn accidentally breaks Rachel's nose while preparing for Nationals, the idea of a nose job is presented before the diva and she begins to consider it, which outrages Mr. Schuester. While helping Emma with her OCD, Will realizes the best way to get the kids to accept who they are is through one of their favorite artists - Gaga. Santana, determined to get Brittany back, begins a quest for the title of prom queen, which soon involves Karofksy and getting Kurt to return to McKinley. Emma and Will present the acceptance/Gaga idea to the kids, including insecurity t-shirts to show off what they aren't proud about themselves and what they'd change if they could.
The time has come, Gleeks! The hiatus is over, so break out your slushies and let's get this party started! Due to some shady business with Sue's Cheerios funds, the Glee Club is at the fundraising game again, this time selling salt water taffy, which is less than thrilling to the Glee Clubbers. After listening to everyone whine about money, Mike, Tina, Artie, and Brittany announce that they have joined the Brainiacs, the school's academic decathlon team, and after defeating Caramel, they too need money to go on to their next big competition. Sue calls together Terri [Will's ex-wife], Dustin [the Coach of Vocal Adrenaline], and Sandy [the former Glee Club director] to form her 'Legion of Doom' set to destroy the Glee Club. Will turns to Holly about his fundraising idea, which she finds just as lame as the Glee Clubbers, thus she proposes a 'Night of Neglect' benefit concert featuring songs of neglected artists.
Are you ready, Gleeks? It's Regionals time! Which team are you on? The Warblers? New Directions!? Regionals - here we come! Blaine bursts into the middle of a study session with his version of Maroon 5's 'Misery' - which Blaine proclaims to be the new opening number for Regionals. Kurt, sick of playing second fiddle, speaks up on the issue of he feels he hasn't had the chance to shine solo. Rachel attempts to write an original song for Regionals, but ends up with yet another stinker. Finn attempts to get Rachel to understand how good she can be, while Quinn plots how she can keep Rachel close while attempting to get Finn to be hers, so she can be prom queen. Pavarotti, the Warbler mascot dies, and prompts Kurt to burst into a Warbler meeting to perform the Beatles's 'Blackbird'.
Gleeks, are you ready to get a little sexy? Because, it's about to get a little hot and sexy up in here. Emma takes over chairing the Celibacy Club, which has dropped in membership to just Rachel and Quinn, but soon Emma realizes her innocent attempts to spread celibacy have failed. Holly Holiday, the substitute teacher who covered for Mr. Schuester when he was ill, returns to cover the sex-education classes - thus causing a debate between herself, Will, and Emma about how much (or how little) the students of McKinley know about sex. After Brittany - in her own way - thinks she's pregnant, Will turns to Holly to help teach the kids about sex, in the best way they both know how - song. Holly introduces the class to sex via a performance of 'You Want To Touch Me' by Joan Jett, which gets the Glee Clubbers all worked up.
..Things are about to get funky and drunky, Gleeks. Basically, be ready to blame it on the al-al-alcohol. Principal Figgins calls Mr. Schuester into his office to school wide issue of teenage drinking, deciding to allow the Glee club to perform at an Alcohol Awareness Week assembly. Puck attempts to get Rachel to have a party while her dads are on the Rosie O' Donnell Cruise, but she politely tells him it's a no go. Rachel, in an attempt to write an anthem for Regionals, she penns an ode to her headband, which Finn immediately tells her is not that great. Deciding she needs to live more, Rachel invites the Glee Club to her house for a party - which the Glee kids only agree to attend if there's alcohol. The party, which includes all the Glee Club members, plus Kurt and Blaine, goes from floundering to full swing very quickly, when Rachel throws caution to the wind and allows the real alcohol to flow.
Hola, Gleeks! Are you ready for another week of Gleeky fun?! The idea of a comeback strikes the hearts of Mr. Schuester and Rachel, both trying to get their lives back into order after some serious life changes. When Sue leaves what Emma thinks to be a suicide note, she and Will rush to Sue's bedside, only to find Sue hasn't parted this world at all. Sam, eager to win back Quinn, decides to channel the image of the one and only, Justin Beiber - creating a one man band called The Justin Beiber Experience. Emma encourages Will to allow Sue to sit in on Glee Club for a week, to which she reluctantly agrees. Will reveals that the theme of Regionals will be anthems, thus Sam brings his Justin Bieber Experience to Glee Club by performing Bieber's 'anthem' - Baby.
Valentine's Day has come early to us in the form of Gleeky goodness! Love is on the mind of many of the minds of the Glee clubbers: Puck realizes he's falling for Lauren, Finn, still enjoying the fruits of the success of the football team's win at Championships, has become big man on campus again. Meanwhile, Kurt's crush on Blaine grows, as Blaine asks Kurt's advice on a crush of his own, leading Kurt, formerly sour on the sweet day of Valentine's, to perk up. At Glee Club rehearsal, Santana finally gets a taste of her own medicine - realizing she can dish it out, but not take it. Finn, wanting in no small to flaunt his recovered stud status, proposes the idea of a kissing booth to raise money for the glee club.
Grab a slushie and wear your McKinley colors with pride, Gleeks! Glee is back and bigger than ever! Bored with her current routines, Sue decides to spice it up by launching Brittany from a cannon. However, once Principal Figgins finds out, Sue goes berserk and goes on the war path - her targets being the usual Glee Club, and now the football team. The McKinley Titans and The New Directions animosity reaches a boiling point, thus forcing Coach Bieste and Mr. Schuester to force their teams to work together for a week. Rachel and Puck perform Lady Antbellum's'Need You Now' to show the Titans how New Directions works, with less than stellar results. After Sue, still on the war path gets the Regional Cheerleading competition switched to the same day as the Championship Football game, thus resulting in some sticky moments for New Directions and The Titians. However, Coach Bieste and Mr. Schuester form a plan around the idea of performing Michael Jackson's Thriller mashed with The Yeah, Yeah's 'Heads Will Roll'.
Get ready to deck the halls, Gleeks! It's a VERY Glee Christmas, and Santa is checking his list twice to find out which Glee Clubbers have been naughty and which have been nice! Emma confronts Will for the first time since telling him about getting married to Carl, coming to find Will plans to spend Christmas alone. Despite Emma's invitation to the big Christmas eve party she and Carl are throwing, Will declines to keep his Christmas 'small and quiet'. Coach Bieste gathers the staff of McKinley for a Secret Santa, which leaves Will with the task of purchasing a present for Sue.
