Cult Records is set to release STRIKE GENTLY, the long-awaited second full length from critically acclaimed New York-based band the Virgins, on March 12th. 1776 FAMILY DAY is a special matinee performance that offers theatre-loving families with young people (suggested for ages 10 and above) an affordable way to see the smash-hit play 1776. Families can purchase four tickets for $50.00-provided that two members of the group are under age 18-and be treated to additional entertainment before and after the show.

HOBART BAROQUE is a brand new event celebrating the music of the 17th and 18th centuries. April 12 sees the inauguration of HOBART BAROQUE, nine days of exceptional performances by international and local musicians. To date, there has been no festival dedicated specifically to baroque music. That honour falls to Tasmania's capital, Hobart.

For the last decade, the Shaw Festival has been introducing contemporary theatre's most illustrious playwrights into the playbill alongside their classical forebears. Like Bernard Shaw himself, these writers delight in questioning assumptions, subverting expectations and creating compelling theatre that unites head and heart. The 2013 season goes even further with the inclusion of plays by Brian Friel, Tom Stoppard, John Murrell and Adam Guettel.

This play reading series at Lynn is being expanded into a much more ambitious program, where actual workshops will be produced that give playwrights the chance to bring in a new play and work with a cast and a director for six days - rehearsing, re-writing, rehearsing, rewriting. Then, at the end of the six days, they will present their new, polished, reworked play to the public, in performance.

Dixon Place will present the music of Greencard Wedding and La Lucha Art Group's production of PORNING THE PLANET - THE DE-SENSITIZATION OF A NATION, A Works in Progress Solo Showing, Written/Performed by Raquel Almazan, Directed by Penny Arcade. Donmar Warehouse announces full casting for their production of TRELAWNY OF THE WELLS by Arthur Wing Pinero, which runs from 15 February to 13 April 2013. Press night is Tuesday 26 February 2013.

Rowan Atkinson, famed actor and screen-writer, has found his fervor for stage acting again. According to Whats On Stage, he may leave his famed tv show, Mr. Bean to do more stage acting. Currently he is preparing to take on Simon Gray's QUARTERMAINE'S TERMS, bound for West End.

It was truly a family affair as actor and Dancing with The Stars All Stars contestant Gilles Marini and his family joined The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas to kick off the second annual Winter in Venice.
