Producers announced today that three-time Tony Award nominee Marc Kudisch (9 to 5, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) will star in Portland Center Stage's (PCS) upcoming world-premiere production of the new musical Somewhere in Time, based on the novel by renowned author Richard Matheson (I Am Legend, What Dreams May Come) and the subsequent hit film starring Christopher Reeve, Jane Seymour and Christopher Plummer.

NBC and Columbia Records will release the soundtrack for Bombshell, the musical within NBC's Golden Globe-nominated series television hit 'SMASH' (Tuesdays, 10-11pm ET), will be released on February 12. In celebration of the release, Tony and Grammy-award winning music creators Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman will participate in a meet-and-greet album signing at the NBC Experience Store in Rockefeller Plaza on Wednesday, February 13 at 5:30pm.

MCC Theater presents the New York premiere production of Paul Downs Colaizzo's Really Really, directed by David Cromer (the Obie Award and Lucille Lortel Award-winning director of hits Our Town, Adding Machine and Tribes). The production, which marks Colaizzo's New York playwriting debut, plays at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) through March 10, 2013. Broadway stars Tony Vincent (American Idiot, NBC's "The Voice"), Nick Adams (Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Guys and Dolls), BDF Artistic Director Nicholas Rodriguez (Tarzan, "One Life to Live") and Tony Award nominated director and choreographer Dan Knechtges (Xanadu, Spelling Bee) will turn Charlotte's youth performers into triple threat talents when The Broadway Dreams Foundation presents a unique two-day workshop February 15 and 16th, 2013. BDF's Triple Threat Extreme Workshop will be held at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center (Spirit Square 345 N. College Street, Charlotte, NC) from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday and at Children's Theatre: ImaginOn Rehearsal Studio (300 E. 7th Street, Charlotte, NC) on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Today in 1979, They're Plaing Our Song opened at the Imperial Theatre, where it ran for 1082 performances. With a book by Neil Simon, lyrics by Carole Bayer Sager, and music by Marvin Hamlisch, the musical is based on the real-life relationship of Hamlisch and Sager- a wisecracking composer finds a new, offbeat lyricist, but initially the match is not one made in heaven. The two undergo a series of trials and overcome a number of hurdles before finding true love by the final curtain. They're Playing Our Song is essentially a two-character show. Vernon and Sonia are the sole characters on stage; each character has a three-person Greek chorus acting as their inner voices, and there are no big production numbers.

Broadway stars Nick Adams, Ashley Brown, Jessica Rush and Michael James Scott will appear in a special one night only benefit production of Jason Robert Brown's SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD on Monday, March 11 at 7PM at XL Cabaret (512 West 42nd St). Directed by two-time Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun, a portion of the proceeds from the evening will be donated to The Performing Arts Project. Check out a just-released trailer for the concert below!
