Fran Drescher, star of the hit TV show The Nanny, has hinted that there may be a musical or play of the series in the works. While attending the Endometriosis Foundation of America's Blossom Ball, Drescher told CNN that she and the show's co-creator Peter Marc Jacobson were working a Nanny-related project and that it was 'very big.' She confirmed that the project was no a TV reboot but plead the fifth when asked if the project was a Broadway show, laughing and saying, 'I can't say.'

The castle that served as the home of Dr. Frank-N-Furter when the movie was made in 1975 is actually called Oakley Court and has since been converted into a luxury hotel. While the hotel has over one hundred rooms, only the nine 'mansion suites' were part of the castle's original structure and present when The Rocky Horror Picture Show was filmed. Despite the renovations that have occurred over the past 44 years, many of the movie's most iconic locations are still recognizable, including the entryway the Brad and Janet stood in front of, the large staircase, and the room where crazy dinner scene occurred.
Nassim Soleimanpour is an Iranian playwright whose new play NASSIM is currently being presented by Barrow Street Theatricals at New York City Center Stage II. NASSIM has previously played to sold-out audiences across the globe and features a unique set-up of a new guest actor at each performance who has not read or rehearsed the play. Soleimanpour previously explored this concept in his play WHITE RABBIT RED RABBIT, which ran Off-Broadway for nine months in 2016. So far in its run, NASSIM has been performed by guest actors such as Michael Urie, Tatiana Maslany, Beth Malone, Ethan Slater, Kate Walsh and many more. Nassim Soleimanpour talked to BroadwayWorld about working with these amazing guest artists, how NASSIM differs from WHITE RABBIT RED RABBIT, and the difficult process that almost didn't allowed him to be in the country for the play's American premiere.
Tony-winner Laura Benanti will share the stage with her mother, former Broadway star Linda Benanti, in a concert titled The Story Goes On. The concerts will take on March 9 at 3 PM and 8 PM at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in Vienna, Virginia. The show will take audience members on 'a musical journey through the special relationship between a mother and daughter.' Tickets can be purchased at Wolftrap.org.
John Owen-Jones is best known for two distinctive roles - Jean Valjean in Les Miserables and The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera. He had played Jean Valjean on the West End, Broadway, and in the 25th Anniversary International Tour productions of Les Mis, becoming the youngest actor to play the role when he first took it on at age 26. Owen-Jones was also at one the time the longest running Phantom in the London production of the show, but his record has since been passed. Despite having playing these two definitive roles, John Owen-Jones has an incredible range as an actor and a singer, something that he showcases on his new album, Spotlight.

When a musical is titled 'Bulldozer,' listeners might expect its score to contain a blaze of sound, a rush of electric guitars, and a furious pounding of drums. The original cast recording of the Off-Broadway musical Bulldozer: The Ballad of Robert Moses, however, reveals its score to be a fairly tame collection of pop-rock songs.
MCC Theater's production of the New York premiere of Alice By Heart, the new musical from Spring Awakening creators Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater, begins previews on January 30th.
