This fall will also mark the rededication of The Public's historic downtown home at Astor Place following the completion of a $40 million revitalization project. Hennepin Theatre Trust announced today that flexible ticket packages including productions from the 2012/13 Broadway Across America-Minneapolis Season will go on sale tomorrow, Wednesday, August 15 at 10 a.m. Shear Madness and Monty Python's Spamalot have been added as season specials as well as Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida, a co-production in partnership with Theater Latte Da. Aida, directed by the acclaimed Peter Rothstein, which runs January 3-27, 2013 at the Pantages Theatre. Shear Madness will be at the Pantages, February 27-March 17, 2013 and Spamalot at the Orpheum Theatre, March 15-16, 2013.

Local arts supporters will don their finest formal attire and find out as Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma kicks off the Halloween holiday with its 17th annual gala fundraising event, the 2012 Broadway Ball presented by Devon Energy, at The Skirvin Hilton Hotel on Friday, October 19th at 6:30 p.m. The event will benefit Lyric's year-round, main stage productions as well as its Thelma Gaylord Academy.

Southern Rep continues its 'New Plays New Orleans' mission with 3X3: THE ONE ACTS by Jared Gore, Brian Sands and Paul Werner, the first production in a year-long cycle presenting works by eleven senior members of 6X6 Play Slam. The 6X6 Play Slam, now in its third year, is a group of local playwrights who write 10-minute plays which are presented monthly by Southern Rep Theatre. 3X3: THE ONE ACTS runs August 27-29, 2012, at 7:30pm, at Mid-City Theatre, 3540 Toulouse Street, New Orleans, LA.

The Met's popular Summer HD Festival returns for its fourth year on August 25, with ten free outdoor screenings of acclaimed performances from the Met's award-winning Live in HD series. The festival, which more than 40,000 people attended last year, kicks off with a screening of the Met's recent world premiere hit The Enchanted Island, a Baroque pastiche which stars David Daniels, Joyce DiDonato, and Placido Domingo.

For the first time in its five year history in Asbury Park, ReVision Theatre will be producing a drama, Red. This gripping play by John Logan about the abstract expressionist artist Mark Rothko was originally produced in London in December 2009 and transferred to Broadway in 2010.

Sean Daniels, Geva's newly appointed Director of Artistic Engagement/Artist at Large, will head off to Estonia this week for "Stage Island" the International Seminar on Contemporary Playwriting on Hiiumaa Island. The seminar gathers a director, playwright, and dramaturg or literary advisor and team of actors from the USA and each of four Baltic nations: Estonia, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland, to develop new scripts from the participating countries and secure English translations for the plays developed during the conference. The conference will also establish new artistic contacts and collaborations between countries.

One of the most successful and iconic music releases of the Eighties, Peter Gabriel's 1986 album, So, has been digitally remastered for a special 25th Anniversary Edition to be released October 23rd (October 22nd internationally) by Real World Records/EMI in multiple physical and digital configurations. Peter Gabriel has confirmed a 16-date North American tour for September and October, with many of the musicians from his 1987 'So' tour joining him to perform the album from start to finish, as well as other hits spanning his solo career.
