Court Theatre kicks off its 2012-13 season with August Wilson's Jitney directed by Resident Artist Ron OJ Parson.Jitney is the fourth play in Wilson's Century Cycle to be produced at Court Theatre under Parson's direction. The production will runSeptember 6 - October 14, 2012 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Avenue. The press opening will be Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 8:00 p.m.

Barter Theatre in Abingdon, Va., will host a special presentation of "The New Musical: DAVID," based on the Biblical story of David with original music. Written and produced by Danny Hamilton and Gary Richardson, the show will run for a limited engagement-only 21 performances-August 23 through September 8 at Barter Main Stage.

Caborca Theatre and Magic Futurebox has announced their upcoming co-production, Open up, Hadrian, playing at Magic Futurebox (55 33rd St. 4th Floor, Brooklyn 11232) from September 13th to September 30, 2012. Written byJavierantonio González and directed by Meiyin Wang, Open up, Hadrian is an immersive promenade production that jumps more than 2,000 years and 20,000 square feet, transforming the Sunset Park warehouse into Ancient Rome by way of an excavated film set not so long abandoned.

Grammy-nominated ensemble El Mundo will kick off the Houston Early Music season with a program of 17th- and 18th-century Spanish, Italian and Latin American music at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church on Friday, October 12, at 7:30 p.m. Part of the Hispanic Heritage Series, the program is titled "The Kingdoms of Castille" and will feature music from the group's CD of the same name, nominated for a Grammy Award last year.

The actor - who made his Broadway debut in 2006's THREE DAYS OF RAIN - recently starred as John Merrick in THE ELEPHANT MAN at Williamstown Theatre Festival, and tells E! Online that he plans to reprise the role on the Great White Way.
