Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts has selected Arvind Manocha as the not-for-profit organization's new President and CEO. Manocha will begin his tenure on January 2, 2013 following the retirement of long-time leader Terrence D. Jones. Manocha is currently the Chief Operating Officer of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, where he oversees the Hollywood Bowl, a venue that serves more than one million patrons annually and shares a commitment to the all encompassing programmatic vision of the Filene Center at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. During his tenure at the Bowl, he has been responsible for growing attendance, increasing the variety and scope of concerts, and managing a multi-million dollar program of ongoing capital improvements. Since he took on management of the historic facility, the Hollywood Bowl has been named "Best Outdoor Amphitheatre in the U.S." eight years in a row by Pollstar magazine (2004-2011).

DREAMCATCHER REPERTORY THEATRE, professional Theatre in Residence at the Oakes Center in Summit, presents its fall evening of improv comedy with its resident troupe, MULTIPLE PERSONALITY DISORDER, on Saturday, October 27. The Famous Spiegeltent will once again adorn the Arts Centre Melbourne Forecourt from Wednesday 5 February to 21 April 2013, with its signature mix of circus, cabaret, theatre and live music, with additional programs for children, and food and wine events. Quest Theatre Ensemble celebrates ten years as 'the people's theatre' of Chicago with a full weekend of events including an Anniversary Exhibit, Friday and Saturday night performances and an all ages Quest Fest Fun Day. This new version from cabaret performer Tyran Parke has been re-worked from his original and critically acclaimed show, which premiered at the inaugural 'Sydney Music Theatre Festival' in August.

As BroadwayWorld reported last month, stage and screen legend Angela Lansbury was in talks to join Wes Anderson's THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL. Today, IndieWire reports that Lansbury, who will be performing in Australia's DRIVING MISS DAISY opposite James Earl Jones, will no longer be a part of the film; Ralph Fiennes, Bill Murray and Jude Law are all reportedly close to deals.

Song Sparrow Research (http://songsparrowresearch.com), the Seattle-based band known for their distinctive folk-tinged, orchestral-rock sounds, announced today that they made their live radio debut on influential Seattle radio and global streaming powerhouse KEXP. The band's performance and interview, in support of their eponymous sophomore release (http://songsparrowresearch.bandcamp.com), was broadcast on September 25th with DJ Cheryl Waters on The Midday Show.

Renowned French actor and director Patrice Chereau will perform a staged reading of Pierre Guyotat's highly lauded work Coma in its U.S. Premiere on Wednesday, October 24 at 8pm. Presented by the French Institute Alliance Francaise (FIAF), New York's premiere French cultural center, and Baryshnikov Arts Center, Coma is directed by Thierry Thieu Niang, and will be performed in French with English supertitles at FIAF's Florence Gould Hall.
