The National Playwrights Conference and the National Music Theater Conference, programs of the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, will be the focus of an evening at the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center at the City University of New York. The event, on Monday, October 15th, is free and open to the public and begins at 6:30pm at the Martin E. Segal Theater Center at 365 Fifth Avenue, New York.

The Twin Cities Horror Festival is has announced the full 2012 festival schedule. For ten days this fall, seven different groups present 5 performances each in an exploration of the genres of horror through a multitude of performance disciplines at the Southern Theater. The festival features local theater, storytelling, dance and music artists presenting their take on the theme of "horror." The festival will present more than 30 performances over two weekends with a free costume and dance party from 5:30pm-9:30pm on Halloween Night.

The 37th Olivier Awards with MasterCard, the UK's highest stage honours, will return to London's Royal Opera House on April 28, 2013.

James Levine, the Metropolitan Opera's Music Director, will return to conducting on May 19, 2013 with the MET Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. He will then lead three operas in the Met's 2013-14 season, including a new production of Verdi's Falstaff and revivals of Mozart's Cosi fan tutte and Berg's Wozzeck. He will also conduct all three Carnegie Hall concerts that season.

In May 1954, the musical The Pajama Game opened at the St. James Theatre, where it ran for 1,063 performances. It opened in the West End the following year, played Broadway most recently in a 2006 revival starring Kelli O'Hara and Harry Connick Jr., and, according to The Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye, is now slated to play Chichester Festival's Minerva Theatre in early 2013.

RAC will kick off their ten day long Endless Summer Tour on November 8 in Costa Mesa, CA with three of the most sought after names in Indie Dance: Classixx, Cosmic Kids, and Jerome LOL. The four will be joining forces to co-headline a series of tour dates (presented by Red Bull Music Academy) up and down the west coast of North America this Fall.

STAGES ST. LOUIS today reported the 26th Season broke all box office records. With nearly $1.8 million in ticket sales, the season saw a significant increase in box office revenue of 4% over 2011 sales, out-grossing any season in STAGES' 26-year history.

The Dance Cartel and The Breslin join forces to present OntheFloor, which performs at Liberty Hall at the Ace Hotel New York. The SBCC Theatre Arts Department will present A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM by Williams Shakespeare in the intimate Jurkowitz Theatre, directed by R. Michael Gros and featuring a cast of talented student and community actors.

A Story Runs Through It: Neighborhood Film Celebration and Awards, part of Next 50 Civic Action Month, features winning films and other selected videos, 7 p.m., Oct. 17, SIFF Cinema Uptown. This event concludes Civic Action Month and celebrates a project that captures stories about Seattle's civic fabric through short films that Seattle area residents of all ages submitted.

Dhilanthi Fernando has organized "An Evening of Chamber Music" with Dhilanthi & Friends on Friday, October 26 at 7PM at St. Paul's United Church of Christ (2335 N. Orchard St, Chicago). The program features works by Schubert, Mozart, Brahms, Dvorak, and a CHICAGO PREMIERE by Demetrius Spaneas. Suggested donation is $20 and all proceeds will support the New Orleans Musicians Relief Fund (NOMRF). Pinchas Steinberg conducts The Cleveland Orchestra in Severance Hall concerts featuring music by three Russian masters. The main work on the program is Sergei Prokofiev's symphonic cantata drawn from his score for the 1938 film Alexander Nevsky. Mezzo-sopranoSasha Cooke makes her Cleveland Orchestra debut as soloist in the cantata. Also performing with the Orchestra in Alexander Nevsky is the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, prepared by Cleveland Orchestra Director of Choruses Robert Porco and Assistant Director of ChorusesLisa Wong. The concerts open with Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's Suite from Le Coq d'or ("The Golden Cockerel"), followed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Francesca da Rimini.

The New York City Department of Parks & Recreation has announced the installation of The Glass Sea, a collaborative architectural and video installation by artist Jessica Feldman and designer Steven Gertner. The exhibition will be on view between October 25 and November 25, 2012 in Petrosino Square, a small SoHo park with a rich history in public art at the crossroads of several dynamic New York neighborhoods.
