Ringling College and Sarasota Opera to Host Panel Discussion on New Opera Little Nemo in Slumberland, 10/27

Saturday, October 27, from 4:30pm – 5:30pm, Ringling College and Sarasota Opera will host a panel discussion on the works of Windsor McCay and the creation of the new opera Little Nemo in Slumberland at the Selby Gallery located on the campus of the Ringling College of Art and Design. Maestro Victor DeRenzi will moderate the discussion and the panel will include composer Daron Hagen, librettist J.D. McClatchy, and members of both the artistic team and cast of Little Nemo in Slumberland.

The exhibition itself, which runs from October 27 through December 12, 2012, will feature original drawings, tear sheets and animated videos of Windsor McCay's along with set and costume designs created for Sarasota Opera's newly commissioned children's opera which will make its world premiere on Saturday, November 10 at 5:30pm followed by a second performance on Sunday, November 11 at 12:30pm.

This event is FREE and open to the public. All members of the media are welcome to attend!
