Sunday, November 4 at 2pm the Warner Theatre welcomes Ruth Loiseau (Ruth L) to the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre for a look into the White House past and present.

For the first time Road Less Traveled Productions and RLTP Ensemble member Victoria Pérez will join forces to bring a unique play-reading series to WNY. The RAICES series will consist of 4 plays written by Latino playwrights and dealing with the Latino experience.

Anthony Bourdain will bring his Guts & Glory tour to Jacksonville this spring, and tickets go on sale this Friday, November 2nd at 10AM through the Artist Series! The internationally renowned chef, author, and television host will visit the Times-Union Center's Moran Theater for one night only, Thursday, April 25th at 7:30PM. Bourdain will spend the evening sharing candid, often hysterical, insights about his life's work and travels, including an open question and answer session with the audience.

It's the brassy, bright and promising year of 1959. Boston's Colonial Theatre is host to the opening night performance of a new musical. When the leading lady mysteriously dies on stage the entire cast & crew are suspects. Enter a local detective, who just happens to be a musical theatre fan!

Saturday, November 3 will be opening night of Andrew Lloyd Weber's seven-time Tony award -winning musical, Sunset Boulevard at the Warner Theatre. This will be the first community theatre production of Sunset Boulevard in Connecticut.

Winning the prestigious Woodward/Newman Award for best play, while being developed at Rogue Machine for their 2012 season, brought with it a fully funded production mounted at the Bloomington Play Project in Indiana. It turned out to be one of their most successful projects to date. A Holland New Voices Award came shortly afterwards, and now playwright Henry Murray is enjoying an extended run of his new play at Rogue Machine, known for staging new works. This is a World Co-Premiere in one of the country's most vibrant cities for new plays, Los Angeles.

Christian Youth Theater - North Idaho (CYT-NI) says 'Be Our Guest' for something magical! Step into the enchanted world of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Nov 1-11 at the Salvation Army Kroc Community Theater, 1765 W.Golf Course Rd., Coeur d'Alene, ID. Seventy-eight local school children ages 8-18 make up the cast with an additional 25+ on crew all overseen by 65+ adult volunteers. All of the children are currently taking theater arts classes in CYT's fall session of their after-school theater arts education program.

The award winning Arvada Center will open Miracle on 34th Street, The Musical directed by Gavin Mayer on November 27 running through December 23, 2012 in the Main Stage Theater. The musical is based on the story "Miracle on 34th Street" by Valentine Davies; book, music and lyrics were written and composed by Meredith Willson (The Music Man and The Unsinkable Molly Brown). Performances are Tuesday - Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at 1 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Preview performances are November 23 - 25. Due to extensive power outages in downtown Manhattan as a result of the hurricane, Vineyard Theatre (108 E. 15 St. in Union Square) is cancelling performances of its world-premiere production of CHECKERS until further notice, starting this evening, Tuesday, October 30.

Featuring a concert version of King's Bessie-nominated piece Astral Epitaphs that was commissioned by the Merce Cunningham Dance Company for its final shows at the Park Avenue Armory in Dec. 2011, the music of New York composer John King (www.johnkingmusic.com) will be presented at Brooklyn's Roulette on Friday, December 7 at 8pm.

The final evening of the 2012 American Music Series will present Jim Kweskin and Geoff Muldaur, with special guest, Josh Schurman at the Courthouse Center Stage, West Kingston, RI on Thursday, November 8. Doors open at 7 PM, tickets $25.

Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins (Caroline or Change) and Broadway performer Nick Adams (Priscilla Queen of the Desert) will perform at a benefit on Monday, November 12th at 7:30 PM at Etcetera Etcetera restaurant 352 West 44th street, to help raise money for The International Theatre and Literacy Project ( ITLP).
