MoMA Kicks Off Meta-Monumental Garage Sale, 11/17November 7, 2012For her first solo exhibition at The Museum of Modern Art, multimedia performance artist Martha Rosler (American) will present her work Meta-Monumental Garage Sale, a large-scale version of the classic American garage sale, in the Museum's Donald B. and Catherine C. Marron Atrium. MoMA visitors will be able to browse and purchase second-hand goods that are organized, displayed, and sold by the artist and her floor assistants.
Light Opera Works Announces Upcoming WorkshopsNovember 7, 2012Light Opera Works is currently taking enrollments for the new Musical Theater Winter Workshop, to be held January 2 through 6, 2013. NJPAC Announces Hurricane Sandy Relief EffortsNovember 7, 2012John Schreiber, NJPAC's President and CEO, announced today that the Arts Center will be rolling out an ongoing relief effort for those affected by Hurricane Sandy, including designating 2,000 tickets for upcoming performances as relief fund tickets, where 100% of the ticket price will be donated to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund. All relief fund tickets will be $25 and will be in locations throughout Prudential Hall and the Victoria Theater. The Center will also become a drop-off site for the ongoing collection of goods that will be donated to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.

Soulpepper and the Young Centre Announce 2013 EventsNovember 7, 2012Albert Schultz, Founding Artistic Director of Soulpepper Theatre Company and General Director of the Young Centre for the Performing Arts today announced a full year's slate of artistic and community-based activity for Soulpepper and the Young Centre in 2013. Over 700 performances representing the remarkable artistic and cultural diversity of the city will happen under the Young Centre's roof next year, including festivals, cabarets, and community partnerships. Soulpepper Theatre Company's repertory season features fifteen plays including two marathon-style theatrical events to be staged in their entirety: Tony Kushner's Pulitzer Prize-winning Angels in America (Part One: Millennium Approaches & Part Two: Perestroika) and Alan Ayckbourn's The Norman Conquests (Table Manners, Living Together & Round and Round the Garden).
